Data-driven decisions:
The key to more productivity

Service and logistics processes often have an underestimated impact on value creation in hospitals. If patient transport is not carried out on time, capacity utilization in the X-ray area decreases and the length of stay of patients increases. Staff scheduling poses a challenge here: In addition to ad hoc tasks such as discharge cleaning and patient transportation, there are recurring tasks such as the so-called laboratory rounds as well as the omnipresent staff shortage due to waves of illness and vacancies. However, the real core problem is the lack of data. A perceived lack of staff exists alongside the suspicion that better utilization of existing staff should be possible. And it is possible! Our resource planning helps you to analyze your situation and make data-driven decisions.

Needs analysis at the touch of a button

Based on your process data, the system creates a statistically valid demand analysis that serves as the basis for shift planning. Simply select the desired process and click on "calculate". The result is displayed as a heat map in a weekly overview. After 8 weeks of operation with simplinic you will have sufficient data for statistical analysis. If required, data from third-party software can also be used.

Optimize and evaluate shift schedules in advance

You can create shift plans with just a few clicks. During the creation process, the software shows you live deviations from the possible ideal staffing. Saving different versions allows you to compare several scenarios and forecast the expected effects on the service level.

Case study: Optimizing shift schedules with scarce resources

Case study in the area of decentralized discharge cleaning of a 600-bed facility. Objective: Optimization of shift schedules with the same staff deployment.

To the case study

All shift plans in one overview

In the overview, you can view all active shift plans per process and weekday. The view also offers a function for absence management. In the event of illness, the available service capacity can be adjusted with a single click. The view therefore also creates the necessary transparency to identify "pooling potential" when resources are scarce.

Advantages

  • Automatic requirements analysis per process
  • Modeling with different assumptions and service levels
  • Versioning of shift plans for comparison purposes
  • Summation of individual sub-processes in a consolidated resource plan
  • Automatic calculation of ideal staffing
  • Live display of the deviation from the optimum
  • Prediction of the open order volume based on the model parameters
  • Fully integrated impact management

You just have to decide!
